Behind the Design
Melanie Matthews
In March of 2023 Melanie, and her husband Chris, decided to purchase a house that needed LOTS of love!
She had always wanted to remodel a house, and had managed several small renovations for others, but never one for herself. Alongside Chris they had built two new homes and Melanie, of course handled the design of both, but again, never a whole house renovation. So when she found a 1979 Craftsman, on 4-acres, on the outskirts of town listed as a short-sale, she and Chris could not resist the purchase!
The remodel became the perfect opportunity to persue her dream and Creek Coastal Home was born!
Naming the business was easy! Melanie grew up in the country and played in the creek that ran through. Fastforward 25 years, now living in Spanish Fort, AL, Melanie's home is surrounded by creeks, bays, rivers and the coast. These bodies of water, combined with precious memories of her childhood, delivered the perfect name for the firm, Creek Coastal Home.
From the mossy bay green to the emerald gulf Melanie's design is influenced by the beautiful water hues.
